An Introspective and Inspirational Offering for All

By Michael Spelling

Rex Holdren shares poetic insights in this pensive journey through the mind. A voyage for everyone who feels alone – or wants to be alone…

Pickerington, Ohio – At some point in one’s life, a person may have thought to himself or herself, “I need some time to myself” or “I wish everyone would just leave me alone”. Author Rex Holdren shares a deeply thoughtful anthology of contemplative words, in this first book in a series of four. Where Is The Mind? will hopefully help people appreciate those in their lives.

The author invites everyone to join him on this journey and experience what happens when that wish of being alone comes true. He lets readers imagine waking up one morning and discovering that they are alone or the last person on the planet and wonder if they could put themselves in that position and survive.

How long would it take before a person starts hearing voices, seeing images or pretending the family of mannequins is real? How then can a person plan for each day, each season? How long can a person last and live through his or her final days? When is alone too much to take? These are just some of the reflective questions that the author lets readers ponder as they step inside the last-man-alive shoes and take a 10-year journey by themselves.

“My poetry has always connected with those who asked me to pen one for them, I hope the books can do the same,” says the author.

This book is available online and can be purchased at www.bookventure.com, www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com.

About the Author

Rex Holdren is a Christian and father of two. The last 10 years of his life took him to a dark place, alone and confused; his mind and body just wanted to give up. After suffering a mini-stroke, he began to wonder what would happen if he no longer had the ability to recognize anyone. The recovery from the TIA and depression is what led him to write this book. He has written poetry all his life but desired to write more, something that would reach people and let them know they are not alone.
