Author’s Collection of His Fishing Misadventures

By Michael Spelling

A new book for those who enjoy fishing and a good laugh

Farnborough, QLD – Fishing is an adventure in itself. Some do it for fun and accomplishment; some do it for the adrenaline rush – and for the misadventures. For author Gary Rooks, fishing is his outdoors life, where he enjoys both the adventures and the misadventures that come with it. And that’s what he shares in his book, Catfish Don’t Count.

In this book collection of his fishing adventures or rather misadventures, he writes about fishing the great outdoors both fresh and salt water. There may be a lot of books out there describing how everything goes right but not many where the author puts his head on the chopping block in the name of a good laugh.

Catfish Don’t Count covers his fishing adventures from childhood to the present with his long-suffering family in tow. This book is a light-hearted read which the author hope will bring a laugh to those who read it. It’s a book for those who enjoy fishing and who enjoy laughing.

This book is available online and can be purchased at www.bookventure.com, www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com.

About the Author

Finally, this path led him to write this book Catfish Don’t Count, a comedy of misadventures related to fishing.

He didn’t really think about writing children’s stories until his eight-year-old daughter Leilani asked him to write her a story. And that is how his book, The Adventures at One Duck Dam came about. Originally this story was just for her until he was persuaded to try and publish it by others. To Leilani’s delight, it was successful. Leilani is a real inspiration to him and convinced him to write the sequel, The Wallaby Mob Arrive.
