Readers to Embark on a Cruising Odyssey

By Michael Spelling

Author shares his dream of living and cruising on a boat in this book

Tyler, TX – For those who dream and love the waters, this book is a must-have for the next journey on the waters. It was many years ago when author Hugh French and his wife Millie (now deceased) dreamed of living and cruising on a boat for an extended period of time. Dreams Can Come True: A Cruising Odyssey takes readers through the planning process, the preparations prior to actually leaving family and friends behind, and buying a suitable boat on which to live and cruise. This book is not meant to be a procedural guide; rather it is a record of places they visited and the extraordinary folks they met along the way.

The book chronicles their day-to-day activities of living aboard and the unanticipated demands that go with the lifestyle. They invite all readers to join them in their journey aboard the M/V French Quarters in Florida near Sarasota, and as they proceed to Fort Myers, Key West and Fort Pierce. They embark at Fort Pierce on a cruise north on the Atlantic ICW to the Upper Chesapeake Bay, returning to Punta Gorda, Florida. From there, they embark on two other passages: to the Bahamas and across the Gulf of Mexico to Gulfport, MS.

If a dream like this has ever crossed your mind, then this book about living and cruising on a boat is just the right book to make it happen.
