The Advantage of Using Kirkus Book Review

By Michael Spelling

An accounting rule says “Do not assume unless otherwise stated.” True enough, this rule goes beyond the walls of accounting. In book publishing, there is an unspoken rule among readers which tells them to buy books only if they receive positive feedbacks from previous readers and most especially, from highly-respected book reviewers.

Let me emphasize that reviews should be from highly-respected book reviewers. A few authors, in their haste to translate their manuscripts into paperbacks, sometimes go for book review services that are not reliable. As a result, they still fail to market their book or worse, succumb into scams.

When we speak of highly-respected and reliable book review services, we think of an authoritative voice in the book industry, a company that has built its fame and reputation through quality work – the very descriptions attributed to Kirkus Book Review.

kirkusSince 1933, Kirkus Book Review has built its reputation through quality and efficient services. It is manned by a pool of professional editors which adds to the company’s credibility and reliability. Per month, the company reviews more than 500 pre-publication books which range from fiction to non-fiction and even children’s and young adult books.

Kirkus book Reviews grants the industry professionals glimpse at the most prominent books even before they are released. To satisfy and meet the needs of the readers, Kirkus gives book reviews in a weekly email news letter after the book becomes available for purchase. They also post reviews and impartial, critical recommendations on Kirkus.com.

To reach out more to the consumers, Kirkus Book Review also offers book review promos which are not only effective but cost-efficient as well.
